KESHI AUDREY

Keshi is a designer from Jakarta with an
enduring passion for the unconventional. What
makes something ugly, and why are we drawn to
it? What happens when decay becomes more
evocative than perfection? From the quiet poetry
of disintegrating type to the raw beauty found in overlooked forms, Keshi is drawn to the strange,
the discarded, and the wonderfully weird. Her work acts as a lens—playful yet inquisitive—through
which she investigates identity, visual languages,
and the joy of embracing the unexpected.

A graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts
in Singapore, Keshi has cultivated a sharp interest
in visual systems and typography—both of which
have become foundational to her evolving design practice. For her, design is not merely a discipline
but an extension of self: curious, bold, and
delightfully offbeat. It’s a space for spontaneity,
humor, and fearless experimentation.

SELECTED WORKS

①  Ugly Worldwide
2025
Graduation Project

Ugly Worldwide explores how both intentional and unintentional ugliness—through distorted type, clashing colors, pixelated graphics, and chaotic compositions—can form poetic aesthetic. By examining visual degradation and repetition through endless copying, compression, and reformatting, the project uncovers layers of meaning where irony and sincerity blur. What may appear crude or garish often carries emotional weight, cultural context, and visual logic. In embracing both the unrefined and the absurd, Ugly Worldwide critiques and participates in excessive visual culture, reminding us that ugliness, whether deliberate or accidental, holds its own radical form of beauty and function.

②  Glare
2024
Branding

Glare draws its light from the moon — a symbol of transformation, quiet brilliance, and constant reinvention. Rooted in lunar rhythm and powered by innovation, Glare is more than skincare. It’s a phase-based system that adapts with your skin, responding to its natural shifts and cycles over time.

Designed as a genderless ritual, Glare moves beyond traditional categories. Through thoughtful formulation and modern science, our products are created to meet your skin’s needs without compromise. Each step is intentionally crafted — to cleanse, treat, strengthen, or enhance — coming together as a cohesive Phaseshift Ritual that brings clarity and intention to your routine.

③  Rotting Type

A5 Saddle Stitch

Rotting is a typeface that draws inspiration from the literal concept of decay, as observed in both the decomposition of flesh, akin to flesh falling off the bone, and the deterioration of fruit. The design of the fonts mirrors the gradual process of decay, with varying font thicknesses representing different stages of its transformation. Bold fonts symbolize a subject in its vibrant and original state, gradually transitioning into thinner fonts to visually depict the progression as it decays and withers.

④  Studies
2024
Typography, Semi-fictional Exhbition

In Studies, Shigeki Fujishiro delves into the concept of gaining a perspective of a third person in his process of design work. I envision myself as Shigeki Fujishiro and saw a way to utilize perspective into the arrangement of the typography. The use of the font Avara aligns with Fujishiro’s concept as the font has been redesigned and altered by multiple designers, embodying a sense of perpetual evolution and refinement. Fujishiro’s works are not definitive or finalized; they represent an ongoing process, akin to the alterations and enhancements of the font Avara.

⑤  HEART 2 HEART2024
Board Game Design

Collaborative project by Keshi Audrey & Vionetta Wianta

Death is inevitable, life is short. Let’s have meaningful conversations about life (& death) with our families despite the discomfort. It’s a way to make the most of our time together. Our limited understanding of the elderly highlights the significance of such discussions. Introducing Heart 2 Heart, a multiplayer board game designed to celebrate the beauty of life. With three thoughtfully designed levels, it allows you to engage in deep conversations with family, friends, a significant other, or even a complete stranger.
